RAM-SOFTWARE - RAX SOLUTIONS

RAM: CORE TECHNOLOGY

RAM enables all system hardware and software components in a RAX solution to be interfaced together, as well as providing additional functionality. Initially developed by ARX, the predecessor to RAX, from 1999 and afterwards named ARiM, it enabled hardware to be interfaced with hospital software systems.

By 2015 its role greatly expanded, it had become a major software system, comprising well over 200,000 lines of code. Then renamed RAM, it has been continually further expanded, improved and upgraded by RAX. RAM currently consists of over 500,000 lines of code.

RAM interfaces the RAX solution with customers software. Typically for industrial customers at least two interfaces are required. One with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and another with the vertical applications software usually managing the process to be automated.

The interfaces can be very flexible, with multiple modes of communication, for example file exchange (.XML), web services or others. RAM can be installed virtually on your existing server, or separately on a PC connected to the system. RAM’s interfacing flexibility means that the many bespoke customer software systems encountered can all be successfully interfaced.

RAM: A PLATFORM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

RAM integrates all components of the RAX solution and ensures their optimum performance. It also includes an array of functionality. For example, it includes a web application which permits operators to view in real time orders being processed and a detailed view of operations.
